Last week the J2Racing team experienced a severe crash at the 41st RCM DMV Grenzlandrennen race at Nürburgring, Germany. Despite rolling over in the vehicle several times John Shoffner, the most experienced pilot from the J2Racing team, is reported in stable condition. Recovery will take some weeks, but it should not stand in the way for John Shoffner and J2Racing team to already make new plans for medals in future races.
“We didn’t expect such a turn of events, especially after John showed the best circuit time to date,” said J2Racing team driver Janine Hill, recognized as the fastest lady in VLN. “John is gradually recovering and in typical manner, is planning what the team’s next car will be like as well as our common strategy on the racecourse,” she remarked.
“The J2Racing team are experienced racing drivers who know the power of their cars, the challenges of handling them and the complexities of the race,” Seymour Ferreira, CEO of Amber Beverage Group and the general sponsor of the J2Racing team, commented on the Nürburgring incident. “In addition to knowing how to get medals, we also know how to deal with these kinds of challenges. I am convinced that we will soon see a new supercar under the fiery brand of Rooster Rojo Tequila and will continue to meet this year’s challenges. We wish John a quick recovery and await him back on the racetrack,” said Ferreira.
